Internet has become an integral part of our lives. It is also increasingly used in creative education as an interactive tool. In order to utilize many possibilities offered by Internet in the educational activities of our department, we have started to develop class web pages. These pages will provide professors and students a modern media to communicate. Some of the items that can be published in these pages include (but not limited to):
This project is not limited to the preparation and maintenance of class
web pages. There will also be newsgroups devoted to each course, chat rooms
for online discussion of covered material among students, online submission
of homeworks, projects and lab reports.
I have prepared a template for the course web page development. Create a copy of this template in your home directory. Then, make the necessary insertions and changes to this file. When everything is ready, please let me know so that we can transfer these files to the eeweb directory in the electrical engineering domain.
A sample file called syllabus.html has also been created (click on syllabus to see and save this file). Please create other files named course.html, exam.html, homework.html, professor.html, online.html, textbook.html, related.html similar in format and structure to the file syllabus.html.
The first version of the course web pages will be published on 21st of May (Some of those which are ready will be published before this day). Please check out these pages frequently and send your comments, suggestions and critisms to me at my e-mail address below. Your feedback is essential for the improvement.
