Hakan Arslan was born in 1982. He has been living in the city of Ankara since his birth,
where he completed his elementary and high school educations, graduating from
TED Ankara Koleji. After that his university life has started. After four-year undergraduate program,
he received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Bilkent University in 2003 where
he is presently an MS student at the same department. In the fall semester of 2005-2006 he is the
assistant of the course of Introduction to Linear Algebra. His research topic is in the area of micromachined
(MEMS) radio-frequency (RF) cavity resonators under the supervisions of Dr.Tarik Reyhan and Dr.Recai Ellialtioglu.
Due to his research, occasionally, he spend his time studying at the Advanced Research Lab (ARL) which is located at the
main campus, next to the Faculty of Science. He is also involved within the Network of Excellence in Wireless
Communications (Newcom) project which is supported by European Commission under the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).
He resides with his family. He has an elder sister, who is a PhD student at the Department of Metallurgical and Materials
Engineering in Middle East Technical University. His interests include playing chess (at anytime and anywhere with anyone),
taking fotos with his camera, designing web pages (like this), swimming, playing basketball and
football with friends, computer games, commodore 64 and motor sports. Once upon a time he was dreaming about being a formula 1
driver. If he had had a chance to do this, he would not have hasitated. At the end he thanks you for
