Baturay Saglam
Moving to Yale University, New Haven, CT, USA, Electrical and Computer Engineering
Baturay Saglam received his B.S. degree with high honors and graduated with a CGPA of 3.55/4.00 from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University, Turkey, in June 2020. He is currently an M.S. student with a CGPA of 3.91/4.00 at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Bilkent University, under the supervision of Prof. Suleyman S. Kozat. During his M.S. studies, he has been awarded several TUBITAK scholarships. Currently, he is affiliated with Turk Telekom Technologies, where his work is focused on research and development for 5G and beyond within the framework of the 5G and Beyond Joint Graduate Support Programme coordinated by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority. He is also a part of the core AI development team at Metawaves, a Singapore-based gaming company, where he develops cutting-edge reinforcement learning solutions for the fully-autonomous humanoid soccer matchmaking. He first-authored 4 journal papers in highly respected AI/ML venues such as the Journal of Machine Learning Research, Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research, and Machine Learning. He also co-authored 11 conference papers in refereed high-impact IEEE proceedings, 2 papers in prestigious ICML/NeurIPS workshops, and contributed to 9 open-source software projects on GitHub. His research interests include deep learning, reinforcement learning (RL) with theory and applications, psychologically inspired RL, psychological decision theory, robotics, online learning, and telecommunications.

Fatih Ilhan
Moved to Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, School of Computer Science
Fatih Ilhan received B.Sc. degree with high honors, and graduated with a CGPA of 3.81/4.00 from Bilkent University, Turkey in June 2019. During the senior year of his B.Sc. studies, he conducted research on unsupervised video anomaly detection and spatio-temporal event modeling with point processes under the supervision of Prof. Suleyman S. Kozat as an undergraduate researcher. During the same period, he also worked as a part-time data scientist at DataBoss Analytics Inc., where he has been working as a machine learning engineer since June 2019. During his M.Sc. studies, he has been mainly working on time series modeling and prediction under adversarial and nonstationary environments. He has introduced novel ways to model spatio-temporal Hawkes processes with randomized kernel representations. Currently, he is conducting research in collaboration with Dr. Sercan Arik from Google Cloud AI to extend these studies using representation learning and causal inference to enhance model interpretability and utilization of exogenous variables. He achieved the 191st rank nationwide in the National University Entrance Examinations among 2 million students. During his B.Sc. studies, he has been awarded the Comprehensive Scholarship by Bilkent University and JASSO Scholarship for his exchange studies in Nagoya University Japan. Mr. Ilhan has authored 11 journal papers (1 accepted, 2 accepted to the second round, 5 under review, 3 in draft) in highly respected IEEE Transactions, 9 conference papers (6 accepted, 3 in draft) in refereed high impact conference proceedings and 3 patents. He has also contributed to 13 open-source software projects on Github.

Oguzhan Karaahmetoglu
Moved to Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA, Electrical and Computer Engineering
Oguzhan Karaahmetoglu is currently pursuing his graduate studies at Bilkent University and working as a Data Scientist. He is a graduate of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University (METU) with a GPA of 3.80/4.00. Moreover, he ranked the 23rd among 2 Million students in the National University Entrance Exam.
He is currently part of an R&D team developing a spatio-temporal prediction framework. He works as a Machine Learning Expert at Databoss Inc, where he has developed solutions for spatio-temporal prediction applications. His framework is capable of processing various data types ranging from weather data to terrain data. Furthermore, he has specific approaches tailored for non-uniformly sampled and sparse time-series data.
His research interests include interpretability in machine learning and deep learning, spatio-temporal prediction, online learning, point process modeling, adaptive filtering, and big data. Selim Furkan Tekin

Selim Furkan Tekin M.Sc. student in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University advised by Prof. Suleyman Serdar Kozat. His BS is in the same department and university. He is also working as a full time Data Scientist at Databoss company. His research focuses on Spatio-temporal series forecasting including weather prediction and event prediction. He has developed deep learning tools for time series prediction. In addition, he worked on Natural Language Processing projects including Named Entity Recognition and Sentiment detection. Selim Firat Yilmaz

Selim Firat Yilmaz is currently an M.S. student at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Bilkent University, under the supervision of Prof. Suleyman S. Kozat. He received the B.S. degree in 3.5 years with full scholarship and high honors from the Department of Computer Engineering, Bilkent University in August 2019 with a CGPA of 3.78/4.00 as the 4th in class and his current CGPA is 3.93/4.00. He has been working at Vodafone in Ankara as a machine learning researcher since September 2019. During his B.S. education, he has worked at iVis Research Lab in Ankara, Turkey as a software developer for 4 months; at Leo Augmented Reality Inc. in San Francisco, CA as a part-time remote software developer for 14 months; and at DataBoss Analytics Inc. in Ankara as a machine learning researcher for 15 months. He has authored 6 journal papers (1 accepted, 5 under review) in highly respected Transactions, 10 conference papers (7 accepted, 2 under review, 1 rejected) in refereed high impact conference proceedings. He has also filed 6 patents and contributed to 81 open-source software projects on Github. Hakan Gokcesu
Hakan Gokcesu received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Academic Excellence distinction from Bilkent University, in 2015, under the Comprehensive Full Scholarship. He received his MSc degree in Communication Systems with Data Analytics specialization from the School of Computer and Communication Sciences, EPFL, in 2018, where he studied under the Excellence Fellowship and his research focused on machine learning and optimization with limiting scenarios. He is continuing his academic studies in Bilkent University, with a focus on online learning. He is also affiliated with Turkcell Technologies, where his work is focused on research and development for 5G and beyond, within the framework of 5G and Beyond Joint Graduate Support Programme coordinated by Information and Communication Technologies Authority. He received numerous awards in regards to his academic achievements. He ranked top 100 in the Student Selection and Placement System Examinations -which is undertook by nearly 2 million candidates- and was consequently awarded with the Governmental Scholarship. He was part of many collaborations, with public or private funding, which conducted R\&D on distributed machine learning, sensor analytics, smart systems, reinforcement learning, prediction and estimation, data science and wireless communications. He authored in a number of respected IEEE academic journals, for which he also contributed as a reviewer. His research interests also include signal processing, learning systems, information theory, decision theory, graph theory, big data and applied mathematics.

Nuri Mert Vural

N. Mert Vural received his B.S. degree with high honors, and graduated as the Salutatorian with a CGPA of 3.97/4.00 from Bogazici University, Turkey in January 2018. He is currently an M.S. student with a CGPA of 4.00/4.00 at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Bilkent University, under the supervision of Prof. Suleyman S. Kozat.
He has achieved the 110th rank nationwide in the National University Entrance Examinations among 2 million students. During his B.S. studies, he has been awarded the Prime Ministry Outstanding Achievement Fellowship. During his M.S. studies, he has been awarded the SPIE Travel Grant (with the maximum amount), Huawei Graduate Fellowship, 5G and Beyond Graduate Research Support and TUBITAK Scholarship for M.S. studies. Additionally, he received 5 Golden Medals in Shahzade Mehmet College Mathematics Competitions and graduated from Halil Kale Science High School as the 3rd in class.

Dariush Kari

Dariush Kari received the B.S. degree with high honors in two majors from Amirkabir
University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), Tehran, Iran. He won the full tuition
waiver and research fellowship for his M.Sc. studies in Bilkent University, Ankara,
Turkey. He has been graduated from the Electrical Engineering Department of Tehran
Polytechnic, with a 16.76/20 CGPA, in 2013. During his undergraduate studies, Dariush was
recognized as an exceptionally talented student and awarded to study Computer
Science as a second major, from which he was graduated with a 17.13/20 CGPA, in 2014.
He was ranked the 6th in Nationwide Graduate Schools Entrance Exam
(Konkoor-e-karshenasi-e-arshad) in the field of ``Decision Theory and Science
Engineering,'' Iran, in 2014. In high school, he was always in the first place in

Mohammadreza Mohaghegh
Mohammadreza Mohaghegh received the B.Sc. degree with high honors from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran with a CGPA of 15.43/20 in Sep 2014. He won the full tuition waiver and research fellowship for his M.Sc. studies in Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. Before starting undergraduate studies, he was member of NODET (National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents) elementary school and high school for 7 years. Iman Marivani
Iman Marivani received the B.S. degree with high honors from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), Tehran, Iran. He won the full tuition waiver and research fellowship for his M.Sc. studies in Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. He has been graduated from the Electrical Engineering Department of Tehran Polytechnic, with a 17.41/20 CGPA, in 2014. Mustafa Simsek is an undergraduate student at Bilkent University,

Mehmet Teksin
Mehmet Teksin is a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Prof. Serdar Kozat. He also works as a Senior Research Specialist at TUBITAK.
Mr. Teksin was ranked the 11th among 1 million high school graduates in the Nationwide University Admissions Examination in 2000 and received the B.Sc. degree from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Bilkent University, with a full tuition waiver in 2005. Right after graduation he worked for Havelsan Inc., one of the leading defense industry companies of Turkey, as a Systems Engineer. Mr. Teksin received his M.Sc. from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Pennsylvania State University in 2012.
His research interests span a broad area within the intersection of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering; i.e. Financial Signal Processing, Graph Mining, Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition. Mr. Teksin holds many awards given by prestigious corporations and foundations within Turkey for his contributions to science.

Farhan Khan
Farhan Khan is currently a Ph.D. Candidate under the supervision of Prof. Serdar Kozat at the Electrical Engineering Department of Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. He has received B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan in 2007 with full scholarship. He received his Masters degree in Wireless Communication from the reputed University of Southampton, UK in 2009. After graduation, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Pakistan. His research interests include Adaptive Signal Processing, Machine Learning and Wireless Communication.

Altynbek Isabekov
Altynbek Isabekov was born in 1986 in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan. He received
the B.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Istanbul Technical
University and the M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from
Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2009 and 2011, respectively. Currently
he is a Ph.D. student at the department of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering, Koc University. His research interests include adaptive signal
processing, machine learning and distributed computing. A. Isabekov has won
several medals in international and national chemistry olympiads.

Said Tunc
Said Tunc received the B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2010. During his high school years, he has won a silver and a bronze medal in the International Mathematical Olympiads, a gold and a silver medal in the National Mathematical Olympiads of Turkey. He is currently a MS Student at the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Koc University under the supervision of Assistant Professor Suleyman S. Kozat. His research interests involve information theory, statistical signal processing, mathematical finance and online learning.

Mehmet Ali Donmez
Mehmet Ali Donmez received the B.S. degrees from the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the department of Mathematics, Bogazici University, Turkey, with a 3.29 GPA. He is currently a PhD Student at the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Koc University under the supervision of Prof. Suleyman S. Kozat.
