Fraunhofer Summer Internships

There are currently 15 offers given by the Fraunhofer Institute (Germany) for summer internships for Bilkent EEE students for the Summer of 2012. Most of them are prepared for Bachelor students who want to do an internship during the summer months and we hope that the offered topics attract them.  Some of the topics are only for EEE students because of the needed knowledge in electronics. Some of the topics are addressing Master students. Bilkent EEE students need to compete with Bilkent CS students for positions that are suited for both EEE and CS students.

For the summer internships (starting beginning of June), we like to receive the student's applications until March 30, 2012. The EEE students who are interested in a particular internship position should file an application that has the following information:

-          The internship position that the student is interested in,

-          The reason why the student is interested in the particular position (motivation letter)

-          Which of the requirement set is being satisfied by the students (requirement fulfillment declaration)

-          CGPA of the student

-          A copy of transcript (a printout is OK)

-          A CD that contains the application package

The application needs to be placed in the mailbox of Dr. Nail Akar by March 30, 2012. Applications by e-mail are not acceptable. A student can file up to three separate applications for different internships but should explicitly state the primary choice. In this case, one copy of the transcript will suffice.

This year, Mr. Julian Glonska (e-mail:  galonsjn@iis.fraunhofer.de) will handle all the organizational issues with the students and their specific questions. The students can contact Mr. Glonska in any stage ofthis process.
